Press Release - Spain Signs To Dangerbird

The band Spain has signed to Dangerbird Records for the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.

Spain's as-yet-untitled seventh studio album will be released by Dangerbird in North America and Mexico and once again by Glitterhouse Records in Europe. Glitterhouse also released Spain's previous three albums for Europe. The release date will be in September 2018.

The new album features Spain founding member Josh Haden, long-time collaborators lead guitarist Kenny Lyon and drummer Danny Frankel, and marks the return of guitarist/keyboardist Shon "Goldenboy" Sullivan (previously heard on Spain's 2001 album I Believe). Also performing will be Josh's violinist/vocalist sister Petra Haden, saxophonist Matthew DeMerritt, and other musicians who have appeared frequently with Spain during their longtime Thursday night residency at Downtown Los Angeles hotspot the Love Song. Petra and Matty D also appear on the most recent Spain release, Live At The Love Song, recorded during this residency.

Over the past 24 years Spain has released six critically acclaimed albums and toured the world.
