Nostro After their 2001 release 'I Believe', the group led by bassist & singer Josh Hayden seemed to have vanished, at least in the guise of Spain. Some 10+ yrs later; new releases have seen a return of this low key somewhat sombre group; led always with Hayden's ever present airy vocal style & music tinged with jazz inflections. Their music has always evoked images of a film noir or late nights in a dive bar. These recordings are outakes from their seminal first album. A must for fans! Favorite track: World Of Blue.

Nine previously unreleased tracks recorded prior to 1995's landmark "Blue Moods Of Spain" album by the band Spain. Includes the original studio version of signature tune "World Of Blue" featuring Petra Haden on violin, and the original demo version of "Untitled #1". Attached is an exclusive-to-Bandcamp 20-page .pdf file with liner notes written by Josh Haden, over 25 archival photos, vintage flyers, and album credits. The .pdf file is not available with this album from iTunes, Amazon, eMusic, or any other digital music retailer.

All of the songs in this collection are recordings taken from cassette tapes which have been in storage for over 15 years. Tape hiss and other audio anomalies can be heard on many of the tracks.
