Drinks were flowing at the Love Song. Ryan was running the board. Nate set up his gear. Joe Wong sat in on drums. Shon on keys. Kenny on guitar. Josh on bass and vocals. The Regent was quiet and empty. Chapman Stick master Gene Perry and friend had a table. Stefan from Belgium but living in NYC was listening. Second set: Party entered with very drunk female reveler, who continued to drink. No one cared. She wasn’t driving. Everyone Ubered to 5th & Main. Except the band. The band closed the joint. We sat outside and finished our beers. Kenny tipped the staff. We loaded up our cars and drifted our separate ways home. Until next week.
