1.
One time long ago When the sun had dimmed its glow When the clouds were filled with Rain and cold That was a long time That was a long time A long time ago Love has left me all alone Her secrets left they're better left untold Why oh why she left I'll never know But that was a long That was a long time A long time ago That was a long time A long time ago
2.
Walked away Released from all my crimes Walked away Released from all my crimes But I could never hide What I kept inside Walked away Released from all my sins Walked away Released from all my sins But the cruelest thing Was all my suffering When I held you that night I knew it felt so right I knew it felt so right Walked away Released from all my crimes Walked away Released from all my crimes But I could never hide What I kept inside
3.
She knew it was all over When she turned her back On her used-to-been She knew it was all over When she turned from him She turned to me What's for me to say I see that you've been crying Your old man's arms Like to bear their fists But my arms have hands like the graceful mist And all they want to do is hold you
4.
Ray Of Light 11:41
Ray of light I never see Through the passing clouds Or through the trees When you left Into the pouring rain I knew I’d never See you again Ray of light Won’t shine through When love is through When love is through Late one night I heard you at my door But I pretended like I wasn’t home Please forgive Me for what I’ve done But you know I would’ve done it Like I did before Ray of light Won’t shine through What can I do What can I do Ray of light I never see Through the passing clouds Or through the trees When you left Into the pouring rain I knew I’d never See you again Ray of light Won’t shine through When love is through When love is through
5.
Only One 09:23
I couldn't be No I couldn't be The only one I couldn't be No I couldn't be The only one I couldn't be No I couldn't be The only one The only one I can still remember when I received the letter that said I'm leaving you forever I'm leaving you forever I couldn't be No I couldn't be The only one
6.
I Love You 07:20
If I could I'd put away my sorrow I wouldn't wait until tomorrow To let you know how I feel If I could I'd look you in the eyes And it wouldn't be a surprise I would know what to say But I'm afraid Of what's at stake Of what a love like This could do Oh it's my fate To hesitate From saying I love you But I would if You said you'd never leave This little promise always to keep This broken heart that wants you If I could Every time you held me close Remembering when love at most Burned in flames Died away If I could I'd take you by the hand And I'm sure you'd understand Why it is I want you so But I'm afraid Of what's at stake Of what a love like This could do Oh it's my fate To hesitate From saying I love you But I would if You said you'd never leave This little promise always to keep This broken heart that wants you

6. I Love You

We spent the night in Rennes and in the morning left for Dour, Belgium. It was our second European show.

The Rockamadour was a tiny bar with a tiny stage. The opening group was a Black Sabbath cover band. I love Black Sabbath. I was worried. But between sets I watched the Black Sabbath cover band members gather up front with their girlfriends and wait for us to start playing. They seemed happy we were there and were already familiar with our music.

It was so cold we wore our heavy coats on stage. Ice crystals formed when we breathed.

The Belgian promoter booked our sleeping arrangement in a boys orphanage. Early the next morning we were woken from our cots by a children’s choir singing Vivaldi’s Gloria. We ate breakfast at a long wooden table downstairs, us on one end, the orphans on the other, brothers in music.
